Up Skills for Work Adaptability Workshop in Spanish, in partnership with ABC Life Literacy Canada, December 2023

The Up Skills for Work Adaptability Workshop was a Spanish language workshop hosted as part of our New World, New Way, and Open Doors Adult Education Projects, in partnership with ABC Life Literacy Canada, and the Community Sector Council of Newfoundland and Labrador. This workshop was tailored specifically to immigrant women, and focused on adaptability skills and strategies for work.

Up Skills for Work Digital Workshop in Spanish, in partnership with Community Sector Council Newfoundland and Labrador’s techKNOWtutors program, October 2023

The Up Skills for Work Digital Workshop was a first-language workshop tailored to immigrant women’s needs within the local Spanish-speaking community. This workshop was hosted as part of our New World, New Way, and Open Doors Adult Education projects, in partnership with the techKNOWtutors program. This workshop was aimed at raising the attendees awareness about existing services , as well as connecting them with service providers within the community.

Up Skills for Work Communication Workshop in Spanish, in partnership with ABC Life Literacy Canada, September 2023

The Up Skills for Work Communication Workshop was an educational and collaborative workshop hosted in Spanish as part of our New World, New Way, and Open Doors Adult Education Projects. This workshop was held in partnership with ABC Life Literacy Canada, and funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada. This workshop focused on the importance of communication as a skill in the workforce, and aimed to provide applicable resources and knowledge.

The Up Skills for Work Confidence Workshop was an educational workshop hosted in Spanish as part of our New World, New Way, and Open Doors Adult Education Projects in partnership with ABC Life Literacy Canada. The focus of this workshop was Confidence; specifically, how low confidence can hold us back, and how we can build self confidence up to help build a happy and successful life.

This workshop focused on employability and life skills, and used practical examples to facilitate discussions on applicable skills, confidence, and communication.
